Providing amazing views, Sedona's most prominent manmade landmark, the Chapel of the Holy Cross, is a small church surrounded by red-rock in the south of the town, above Highway 179. Brainchild of sculptor and painter Marguerite Brunswig Staude, the church has a contemporary design and was built as if it is growing out of the rock.
